Join us for a special look inside a local non-profits experience this Ray @ Night. Carrie Stewart, a co-founder of Nu Intentions will be here to share her story, photos and handmade jewelry. Carrie and her business partner, Ashleigh Livingston spent time in a remote village in Uganda, Africa teaching impoverished women to make jewelry. In turn, the jewelry is sold and the women were taught how to manage money and take care of themselves and their families.

Carrie and Ashleigh have set the stage for an amazing experience and changed the lives of these women. Come out Saturday and hear the story. We will be serving up drinks and snacks, as usual. Can't wait to see you all! Monty Montgomery's paintings will still be on display and up for sale, as well.

This North Park Nights will mark the 2 year anniversary of Material. We will combine this night with a holiday celebration as well. There will be new artwork and a DJ. Drinks and refreshments will be served. Bring in 5 cans of food and take 25% off any regular priced item in the store! We will donate all food for the less fortunate! We will take 50% off of all sale items (taken off of the original price)!

Come by for a night of celebration, art, music and shopping! Take care of those last gifts on your list!

Pay It Fourward is an event that was created by the 4 original boutiques in North Park. It is a quarterly event in which one store hosts the event and chooses a charity for all participating stores to donate to. We all donate 10% of our sales for that day to the charity. Each store has an in-store event on that day.

This month's choice is The Princess Project San Diego and is being hosted by Material. We will be collecting dresses for them, as well as donating money. Please see www.princessproject.org for donation info. (San Diego).

North Park 's retailers are getting together to bring you a new event this summer! We are doing a sidewalk sale in front of our stores to give you deals and get you out and roaming the hood! Each store will have a selection of sale merchandise and some in store event going on. We will provide drinks for those who come out to shop. Girls Kiss Girls is a fashion show event featuring Spring/Summer looks from Material and Sunsplash Swimwear. This event is also a reunion for DJ Here and Aubergine. There will be a few dj's, a live performance by Pittsburgh Slim and bottle service available. Come and check it out!

It's time for art, drinks, music, food and shopping again! Yes, Ray @ Night is just a few days away and we are ready to have some fun! We have decided to keep up the artwork we have now because Jason Farai is so talented and he deserves to have his work seen just a little longer. He has had a great response and people are really interested in his work. It's very thought provoking and calming. You can feel his worldliness in each painting. Each piece has a religious feel and some are painted on wood, rather than canvas. It's some of the most interesting work we have had. We look forward to another fun night and hope you will come out and join us!

Our third and last event of March is happening on the 29th. The San Diego Indie Music Fest is going on from noon til midnight and will showcase over 70 acts! There will be 7 stages and they will be set up throught North Park. It's a fun day to get out and walk around. Last year there were booths with food and items for sale too. We will have DJ McHank in the house to spin some eclectic tunes!
